Building a birth team

Every person you choose to have in the room with you plays a vital role in helping you have a healthy and safe birthing ceremony.

You, the Birthing Person

YOU are the most vital component to the birthing team. Our mission at the Counseling Midwife is to support your vision for your birthing ceremony while providing intentional comprehensive therapeutic midwifery model of care

Midwife

At The Counseling Midwife, your care team will include myself as a primary midwife and a secondary midwife during you labor, birth and immediate postpartum.

Birth Doula

Your birthing doula will assist with giving you emotional, physical, and informational support to a the pregnant person and family before, during, and after labor. As a midwife, I highly recommend all families to hire a doula to help guide them through their birthing ceremony.
